GIMD’s responsibility was to support the cataloging of the phonogram stocks of a northeastern German music academy in the on-line union database of the Common Library Network (GBV).
For many companies, it is vital to come into contact with the leading scientists and opinion leaders in their fields. Pharmaceutical companies engaged in active research, e.g., are seeking the best experts – to monitor clinical studies or as advisors. With highly efficient programs and widely experienced staff members, GIMD contributes to identifying these so-called key opinion leaders.
For numerous clients, GIMD performs the pharmacovigilance screening of local scientific journals in the respective language. Next to the selection of suitable publications, this service also comprises the ordering and management of subscriptions.
For clients from the pharmaceutical industry, we continuously maintain literature data bases by cataloging scientific papers according to specified keywords, using our Database software ARTIS as “computer-based follow-up.”
GIMD’s responsibility was the structured registration and classification of the historic stock or a southern German sheet music archive on the basis of catalog cards and orchestra folders.
For the library of a northern German university of music, we have been electronically registering CD stocks for many years. Parts of the sheet music collection have also been processed in the meantime. These holdings were to be listed in the database of the Common Library Network (GBV).
Our client, a company in the pharmaceutical industry, commissioned GIMD with the creation of a database listing names of research institutes and scientific facilities, which had to be identified unambiguously by standardized designations.
The merging of diverse databases with many hundreds of cell lines used in medical research necessitated the review and verification of the information stored in them.
For the electronic library of a major pharmaceutical concern, GIMD has been commissioned to categorize and classify e-books, and to arrange them on virtual shelves.
